IZTECH
Izmır Institute of Technology (IZTECH) is a public university established in 1992 with the main purpose of conducting education, training and research at a high level in the upcoming technologies.
The medium of instruction at Izmir Institute of Technology is English. It is currently the only institute of technology which is an internationally distinguished advanced technical university model in Turkey. The graduate programs was established in 1994 in the center of İzmir and began admitting students to undergraduate programs in 1998.
Education and research are carried out in 14 undergraduate programs, 24 master programs and 19 doctoral programs. There are a total of around 5383 enrolled students, 3851 of them are undergraduates.
Our institute owns approximately 3500 hectares of land, education and research activities are carried out in a closed area of approximately 132.000 m2 which is currently dedicated to education and research. Within Turkey, our university is known as “İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü,” abbreviated as “İYTE.” Our international name is İzmir Institute of Technology, or “IZTECH” for short.
