Mercury is building a world-class team in Mercury Teknoloji A.Ş. in Turkey (with locations in İzmir and İstanbul), a wholly-owned subsidiary and Tech Company of Mercury Business Services, to develop a state-of-the-art shipping platform that provides the best user experience. Our platform will handle all time-critical and temperature-sensitive shipments and express package and freight shipments for life sciences and healthcare companies.

We are seeking an Angular Architect - Frontend Chapter Lead that is mission critical to helping the development of our multiple application frontend for web and mobile for our new shipping platform to support our product initiatives from conception through launch and ensuing iterations. Working with customers across the US, Europe, and Asia, and our team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a Mercury signature user interface and experience which serve Mercury clients' needs, goals, and requirements for a seamless shipping experience.

You will report to the Director of Engineering, be a senior member of the cross-functional agile team, and work closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations Teams. You will collaborate closely with architects, developers, designers, analysts, sales managers, product marketers, and clients to ensure that our products are intuitive, and easy to use, and convert our customers into raving fans of our shipping technology.

You will

• Lead the Frontend Chapter to ensure you continuously improve implementation practices, tech stack, standards, and third-party tools across all production teams.
• Guide FE Chapter members, who are highly qualified at what they do to the next level in their career, facilitate cross-training, knowledge transfer, and build best FE Development practices among all cross-functional production teams.
• Be a part of the cross-functional agile team to contribute to the implementation of Mercury’s next-generation shipment platform by designing, documenting, coding, maintaining, refactoring, fixing, testing, and enjoying what you build.
• As a Senior Developer and Architect in your team, understand, groom, contribute and translate requirements and designs into engineering tasks that deliver the next increment.
• Work closely with a team of Product Managers and Designers (UI/UX) to architect and code an intuitive, cohesive, and seamless user interface and experience for our clients
• Work with architects and senior backend developers to establish contracts supporting your presentation and experience design with a backing cloud-native microservices architecture with a BFF layer.
• Work with the QA team to determine the best testing strategy, tool set, and QA practices for your frontend production
• Make sure written requirements, material requirements, and design artifacts are consistent and understood in the same way by the developers, designers, product owners, and QA.
• Collaborate with the Product and UI/UX Teams in Boston MA, to influence product requirements and roadmap
• Work with the Engineering team to ensure technical needs are met while maintaining a strong focus on the user experience
• Advocate and be the voice of Mercury’s customers in our product development process
• Distill complex problems and propose simple, elegant solutions
• Create a signature experience for the Mercury shipping platform that is aligned with our brand values
